About Me

Hello! My name is Haley Short, and I am a first year at the University of New England with an intended major in psychology. I have always had an interest in the human mind, and I hope to use my education to help others understand the motivations and inner problems of the mind through counseling.

I was born in Milford, Massachusetts, as were my parents and brother, but grew up in a development in Pomfret Center, Connecticut. The majority of my neighbors were also kids, and my favorite childhood memories were when we would all get together and play what we called “the game”, which was essentially just playing pretend town. I was always the fast food manager.

Because Pomfret is an immensely small town, we don’t have our own high school. Instead, I graduated in the next-door town of Woodstock from Woodstock Academy. It was a big campus and nice change from my K-8 school, where I was with the same people for almost 10 years. Going to high school was about the only thing I did in Connecticut, my dad has a saying that we reside in Connecticut but live in Massachusetts. There’s way more things to do and my parents grew up there, so they know all of the good places to go.

Besides being a full-time college student, I enjoy reading and watching Netflix. Thanks for reading, enjoy my posts!
