The dean of academics is even another helpful resource. Whether a student is on academic probation, just struggling in class, or maybe didn’t get a test grade they needed and want advice on where to move forward, the dean can be a huge help. Aside from academic discipline when needed, they are there to help just like the advisors at UNE. They are used to working with students who are struggling and know which resources may fit them best. This could be something as simple as suggesting to go to SASC, to even sitting down with a student one on one to figure out a plan for them to succeed. There is not a single staff member at UNE who wants their students to fail, and even the higher-ups are there for when a student really needs help.
