Week 8

This week, Dove mostly responded to praise and suggestions for their products. A couple people are still Tweeting about their ad campaign targeting the issue of self-esteem and how its effects women. One Twitter user expressed concern for the commercial, saying that young girls who see it might not have thought to be concerned about the things talked about within the ad. Dove responded to this concern by posting a link to their self-esteem campaign portion of their website and explained to the user that their effort has reached over 60 million people. Girl Up also tweeted at Dove, thanking them for their involvement for the 2020 Girl Up Girl Hero Awards, which featured women leaders and supporters from around the world. Other users continued to commend the brand for their various products. Dove responds with a lot of the same few phrases, but I like that they still reply and acknowledge regardless.
