Erin Krummmel is the Director of Academic and Career Advising who is also an advisor for incoming students who are undecided majors as well as transfer students and those on academic probation. All in all she recommends reaching out for help when needed as soon as possible. There are so many different resources that UNE has to offer and they all have the common goal in making sure the student succeeds and eventually graduates. As an academic advisor she has seen a lot of students, and with that a lot of students who need help from time to time. She mentioned that time management and the use of a planner is key to success and that the start of most academic issues that she has seen starts with poor exam grades. From there she would recommend reaching out to their professor to explain where they are having issues and then going to SASC for help with the class to get back on track. She also understands that having a social life outside of the classroom is important to being a healthy student. For this she talked more about joining more clubs and activities and making sure to slow down every once and a while to relax and enjoy the entire college experience.
